THE retrofit Assessor Role

Find out more about this exciting new role, which is set to be huge in 2021, due to its support of the Green Homes Grant and other initiatives

Why is this opportunity only available now?

The Green Homes Grant scheme, was introduced back in August 2020 as a way of incentivising homeowners to seek energy efficiency improvements for their homes.

However, in order to ensure delivery of the Green Homes Grant and other schemes, it was clear that more retrofit professionals would be needed. With this in mind the government department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in partnership with the Midlands Energy Hub, launched the Green Homes Grant skills competition which aims to ensure tradespeople are equipped and professionally trained in delivering home improvement measures that qualify for the Green Homes Grant.

Who is Involved?

This funded training opportunity has been made available through the government department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in partnership with Midlands Energy Hub.

Delivery of the Domestic Energy Assessor and Retrofit Assessor training and accreditation is provided by Elmhurst Energy.
